How do I make my curly hair look great without looking wet and crunchy?

I have very curly hair and take a shower every morning when I get out of the shower I put sunsilk leave in conditioner, mousse and hair spray. During when it dries it looks like its still wet and its hard and crunchy..I don't like that look but if I don't do that than my hair gets frizzy and goes crazy.. How do I get soft hair without the frizz and crunch? How do I make my curly hair look great without looking wet and crunchy?
i think you should be using curl enhancing creme's instead of mousse. when you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair just enough so that its not dripping. apply a smoothing serum (farouk repair and shine, pureology shine max) along with a curl enhancing cream (pureology real curl or bed head curls rock). either let your hair air dry (the smoothing serum will cut down on the frizz) and apply more smoothing serum after its almost dry. otherwise you can do the same but instead of letting your hair air dry use a diffuser. you can buy a diffuser at sally's for 10 to 15 bucks or less. when using it, make sure not to dry your hair all of the way. that is a major misconception in styling curly hair. leave the hair 25% damp and you will notice that your curls are more controlled and less frizzy with the proper products.

mousse is more for volume than for controlling curls. it will dry out your hair along with adding to the frizz. also try to buy a good moisturizing shampoo and heavy conditioner. little steps will make a big difference. :)How do I make my curly hair look great without looking wet and crunchy?
heeey!!my hair is naturally curly and it took me forever to find out what works!and i had to find out all on my own so good luck!!lol juuust kidding!!okay so what i do is i put some sort of leave in conditioner like garnier or sunsilk (thats just so it keeps your hair protected and super soft) after youve towel dried your hair.you comb/brush the leave in conditioner evenly onto your hair, specially on the tips of your hair.then you can add a dallop of gel or mousse.(this step you shouldlike ecperiment with and find out how much gel or mouse works for you!!) seperate and twist your hair as much as you want this depends on how much definition you like i like lots of curls so for me it helps if i part my hair and twist every curl.basically twist where you want the curls to be.when your done itll look wavy but when it dries youll get awesome curls!!i usually take a shower at night and let it dry in my sleep i wake up with amazing bed head!!i really hope this works on you!!

*i use LA Looks gel (its really inexpensive and it makes up for the splurge on some good leave in conditioner!

*aaaalso you can help the drying process if you semi dry the crown of your head this will also control the amount of volume you will get!!
If you blow dry your hair on ';low'; after you put your products in... it will have a soft texture. It is good to gently scrunch your hair as you blow dry- even holding your hair in the ';scrunched'; position as you blow dry on ';low';.

It is the ';air'; drying that makes it crispy. Also, ease up a little on the mousse. The mousse is necessary, just don't put too much in.

A great product is John Frieda's Frizz Ease. Click on the link below or copy and paste the address into your browser.

after the shower and sunsilk, make sure that you have only put about a golf ball sized amount of mousse, evenly distribute that throughout the hair, then flip and scrunch. do the same with some styling gel (again, not too much). Clip your hair up in a messy bun and let it air dry. continue getting ready for the morning and when you are about to go, spray in some spray gel or hairspray. NOT TOO MUCH. i like using non aerosol because you know how much to spray. one spray 5 inches from hair on the left side, same on the right, same on the back and one spray on the top of the head (still 5 inches). I recommend spray gel because of the crunchiness problem.
