How do you get curly hair from a wavy haired person with a straight haired person?

Through incomplete dominance, we get wavy hair, and curly hair is a dominant trait. Let's give the traits alleles. My friend has a grandpa who has wavy hair (Bb). Her grandma has straight hair(bb). My friend's mom has curly hair(BB). How is this possible? It didn't make sense when we made a punnett square. Please help! How do you get curly hair from a wavy haired person with a straight haired person?
How do you know the exact genotype of her grandparents with out a genetic test? But you are correct with your punnet square test, given the provided information it is impossible unless there was a milkman involved. :DHow do you get curly hair from a wavy haired person with a straight haired person?
she could have inherited the recessive trait from either of her parents.
Somewhere in the gene pile of your family or a combination of both families
recessive gene
too much thinking
