How do you keep your curly hair straight throughout a humid day?

I shampoo, towel dry my hair, use a straightening cream, then eventually flat iron my hair, but the minute I step out into the Michigan humidity all my hard work goes right out the window. Anybody have any secret prouducts, fabulous flat irons, or tips to recommend?How do you keep your curly hair straight throughout a humid day?
I have the sammeeeeee problem.

I use Garnier Fructose anti Humidity cream. It doesn't keep your hair from getting frizzy %100, but helps alot. I also use a CHI flat iron, which seems to hold better then anyone I have used.

i kinna have the same problem. my hair was like that. but now it's really straight from brushing my hair before i shower. i use Pantene extra straight shampoo. and conditioner. but not the 2 in 1 cuz the conditioner can make your scalp oily. so just condition to the point where the conditioner's not touching your scalp at all. i brush through my hair with my fingers while the conditioner is doing it's job ..... and thennnnn i rinse and after i shower, i brush my hair while spraying it with frizz-ease straight answer straightening spray. then i let it air dry. after it's done i straighten it and occassionally i put hairspray in it because i don't really need to after those other steps. but if that doesn't work you can probably put styling gel in it while it's down. it gives you the wet look. that's probably the most you can do unless you go to a salon.
The Chi Flat Iron, and a great product is called Aquage Ultra Shine, i believe. It makes your hair flatter, eliminates frizz, and enhances the flat iron expirience.



There's also a product called It's A Miricale, and it does 10 different great things for your hair, and will help that.
I have the same prob. I have long blak curly hair and my recamadations r get ur hair trimmed every month,use Sally's beauty salaon shampoo and conditioner,pick your hair,use moose,the more u straighen ur hair the more dead hair u have and tht cauzez ur hair 2 frizz. GVP flat iron works great its used by da pros!! I hopeee I helpedddd!!
Here's a tip - don't straighten right before you want to go out, do it the night before and in the morning do it again. It really REALLY helps. Seriously, try it!



Also, if you cant be bothered buying a new straightener etc. you can always use hairspray, that works as well.
i use a product called texture i get it from jcpenney salon and i use it when my hair is still just a lil damp and i towel dry the rest and then straigten it keeps my hair straight even throughout the humdity.

i use conair for my straightener. and for the humidity why dont u try a dime size bit of coco butter all over your hair?
