What are some alternatives to using gel for styling curly hair?

I have naturally curly hair and I'm tired of using gel simply because it doesn't work very well. It holds for about two hours and that's it. And it leaves product buildup in my hair. And if i put too much in, it makes it crispy. :(

FRIZZ EASE HAIR SYRUM!!!! It makes your curls bind together to give structure, smoothness and definition which make it hold. Gel is useless for what you want! It's heavy, looks wet and goes stiff.

Make sure you put the syrum on when your hair is VERY wet. Only brush your hair in the shower, then never touch the brush again! Blot the hair dry in a towel and put the syrum on... then GENTLY scrunch your hair together to try and make the curls stick together. Let it air dry and it'll be much more defined. This is really imprtant... it's not just about putting stuff on it. It's about keeping your curls in tact and not disrupting them.What are some alternatives to using gel for styling curly hair?
I also have super curly hair and I use ';Herbal Essence Totally Twisted'; Mousse. It comes in a purple bottle!



Basically, what it does is it boosts your curls, making them look less frizzy and droopy. It keeps humidity out of your hair and leaves it shiny and springy! Basically it locks moisture in and keeps dryness out making hair much less frizzy!



Trust me, I use and and it works great. It washes out really easily too when in the shower- so no buildup!
I use this Special FX stuff for curls.

It's usually next to the Got2B stuff.

It's in a yellow curved bottle.

It generally works for me, and it's not gel.



Oh, and I like the Sunsilk creme for curly and wavy hair, it's in a green bottle with the Sunsilk stuff.

Oh! and never use mousse on curly hair, unless you want it huuuge!

Mousse adds volume, and if you have poofy curly hair already, it's not pretty!
