What products do you recommend for curly hair?

I have long curly hair and it's really frizzy. I've tried a lot of products, but nothing seems to do a good job getting rid of the frizz. Right now, I'm using TRESemme Curl Hydration Lotion Creme, which works ok, unless it gets humid. What products would you recommend? I would prefer a mousse, spray, or creme, because I don't like using gel. What products do you recommend for curly hair?

I know you don't like gel, but how much/many have you tried? It makes my hair a little crunchy, but I am able to scrunch that out as soon as it dries. If you have curly hair it's one of the best ways to battle humidity. Some good brands of gel are Biotera, Herbal Essences, and LA Looks if you want to try them at all.

*Don't shampoo every day.

*Comb conditioner through hair in the shower.

*Never use a brush on dry hair, only untangle when the hair is wet.

*Apply styling products to dripping wet hair. Scrunch or twirl hair to achieve desired shape.

*Avoid terrycloth towels; use microfiber or t-shirts instead.

*Air dry or use a diffuser with your blowdryer.

*Don't touch (or brush!) your hair while it鈥檚 drying



Lastly, it has made my hair so much better since I started the curly girl method! I have natural curly hair and I use Redken Guts! It is great! It keeps down the frizz and gives my curl definition. It want make your hair hard either. Also the best shampoo and conditioner I have found is Curls Rock by Tigi. You can get all these products in a hair salon. They may cost more but its priceless for great hair.



After you wash your hair make sure it stays wet, dont let it dry out!! That is a sure way to get FRIZZ!! Spray the Guts in your hair, dont be affraid to use it! Then flip your head over and dry your hair. When your hair is almost dry spray just a little more guts on to finish it off and then dry the rest of the way! Hope it works for you!

I use a combo of Biolage Gelee and Alterna Texturizing Glaze. The gel is so light it doesn't make my hair crunchy.
I use eco gel, it has no alcohol so it won't make your hair crunchy, and I use design line curl lock.
