I have a lot of split ends and very dry curly hair i want to use a good conditioner from Shopper Drug Mart but not sure which one to buy. Today I ran out of anti-frizz and my hair went EXTREMELY poofy.
I've tried:
Bedhead (cost $23 didn't work very well)
Tresseme
Herbal Essences
Pantene
Fructis
Strictly Curls
I need good Anti Frizz products, shampoos and conditioners. What is good conditioner for very dry hair, curly and brittle hair from the drug store?

Aveda Be Curly Conditioner

Have a Rainbow Day Laura! What is good conditioner for very dry hair, curly and brittle hair from the drug store?
Hi Laura -
I'd try a couple of things to see what works best for your hair type.
One, try ProFolla Silk products. They have shampoos and conditioners for growth and moisture (hair vitamins, too, but - and the most important - contain LusterPlex. LusterPlex was created by Croda (the big research group) and was developed specifically for for ';humidity resistance';...reducing frizz and ';poof';. It also increase tensile strength and shine/luster (hence the name). I would recommend their moisture shampoo to start.
Another alternative is a good emu shampoo (with emu oil). Emu oil is very good for increasing moisture that reduces frizz, fly-away, breaking, etc. It is also good for the scalp since it is also a natural anti-bacteria and anti-inflammatory. Emu oil is used pretty extensively for skin problems - burns, rashes, scars, etc., but has found its way into the hair care industry.
A third possibility is using Argan oil. MoroccanOil brand is probably the most popular. It works very well as a treatment before drying or styling, they and other manufacturers have expanded their lines to include shampoos, conditioners, serums, masks, et al :)
Good Luck!
Hey. I have two suggestions for you. First off, this is coming from personal experience, because I have the same hair type/texture as you; and i've experimented with many conditioners.
My daily conditioner that I use everyday is the 'Neutrogena Triple Moisture', and I have to say, it is absolutely amazing. When I first started using it, I noticed a difference in the frizz level of my hair, and the overall texture. Since I have been using it (about one year) my hair is noticeably softer and healthier. You can purchase this from wal-mart, walgreens, rite aid, etc. for about 6-7 dollars.
My other conditioner that I use 2-3 days a week is 'Aussie 3 minute renewal.' I have to say, it gives me the same results as the neutrogena conditioner, but leaving it on for three minutes, is supposed to add more moisture to your dry hair. (drugstores for 5 dollars)
I really hope i helped!
I know you said you've tried herbal essences, but the new hydralicious works really well. The really good anti-frizz line is from aveda or john freida....I believe you can buy john freida at a drug store but it's about ten dollars each.
Head and Shoulders works wonders too.
I dont know about getting it from a drug store. But at whole foods there is a product called Kinky Curly. They have a conditioner called Knot Today, it is anti frizz, Ive been using it and have never had a problem.
All drugstore products are synthetic and full of chemicals so I order online, but that's me, and shipping does cost a bit sometimes. Try looking in the natural section in ShoppersD.M.
