Ahh curly hair people. I hope you know what Im talking about. After years and years of trying to get my hair to look good, I have pretty much succeeded with two different gels and john -freida frizz ease serum. The only thing is, my hair still frizzes. Not as much as before but its enough frizz to notice. I love my curls to death! But sometimes the frizziness gets to me. So I ask anyone with curly hair, what do you do to tame the mane? What are your suggestions on taming curly hair?
my hair is really curly and i have tried everything to try to tame it.
i have discovered that there is one thing that really works:
when you take a shower, brush and untangle your hair, put mousse in it and put it up in a bun until it dries. when it is dry, put some gel in it and put it in a bun again. once it's dry your hair will be beautiful and frizz-free.
hope i could help. :)What are your suggestions on taming curly hair?
my hair is fairly frizzy and very curly, and i use a combo of 2 different brands: Jessicurl and Herbal Essences. from Jessicurl (which i ordered online), I use a large amount of Rocking Ringlets styling potion followed by Confident Coils styling solution, then coat my hair with Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Mousse. i've found that using a ton of the mousse after/on the Jessicurl in my hair keeps it very anti-frizz all day with super hold. however, the large amout of product i use tends to make my hair a little crispy, but merely scrunching the curls makes them soft again and still anti-frizz. hope this helps!
Good hair starts with a good shampoo. I suggest Frederic Fekkai Luscious Curls shampoo and conditioner. It's a little expensive ($22 for 8 oz.) but I think it's worth it. It tames the frizz and leaves your curls feeling soft and looking healthy. After that use some defrizzing creme - Frederic Fekkai makes some AMAZING glossing creme that works wonders on hair. Blow dry with a diffuser and you're ready to go :) Hope I helped!
Story of my life!
What I used to do:
straighten my hair and then curl it with a curling iron.
OR
I would shower at night and do my hair in the morning right away:
I would use gel and hairspray to tame the curls. And then blow dry to keep it that way.
hey, it worked for me. maybe it will for you too. :)
What I do now:
I got my hair cut shoulder length
and straighten it every day.
Ahahha. it's easier this way.
I love my curls to death just as you love yours.
but convenience, this saves more time and reduced the stress level in the morning.
if you decide to cut your hair, just remember, HAIR GROWS.
if you don't like it that is.
:)
my hair is pretty curly but not extremely curly. this may or may not work for you but sometimes what i do to control frizz is to put a little bit of cream (like moisturizing cream for hands) and run it through with your fingers. it helps to get rid of frizz makes it a little smoother. hope this helps!
