My hair is thick and mad with curls! I have straightened it everyday for the last 3 years, and i sleep with it wet, im so tired of straightening it! So any suggestions on how i can tame it into soft waves?
Thanks xHow can i turn my thick curly hair into soft waves?
I know exactly what you are going through! I have two tricks for making my frizzy, curly hair into soft waves, both are super easy!
When I want to create pretty waves, but I don't feel like dealing with all the crap involved with flat irons and such, before bed I wash my hair and towel dry it. Then I smooth in some anti-frizz serum and finger comb it. I let it dry for about 20 minutes until it is just slightly damp, then I slick some light hold gel in making sure to get the roots (keeps down frizzies). I use a wide tooth comb to separate it into 3 parts; down the middle, and across the crown.
I take the hair in the back and slick it down the the nape of my neck and twist it around itself until it curls into a tight bun and I pin it down. Then I twist each side into a bun about an inch or two higher than each ear, put a hairnet over it, and go to sleep. In the morning I finger comb it with a little anti-frizz serum. Gorgeous movie star waves!
When I am extra lazy, but know that I have something to do in the evening, I just slick my slightly damp hair back into a tight bun on the crown of my head for the day. When I'm ready to go out at night I take it down and finger comb it with anti-frizz serum. Not quite as dramatic as the first way, but still nice, soft waves.
Hope this helps! How can i turn my thick curly hair into soft waves?
