yes i beleive it will,

i would recomend a 2 inch iron from chi

its a tad expensive if your new to straightners, but works really well for thick or curly (or both) hair

hope i could help :)Do straightening irons work for natural curly hair?
It should but i would recommend using thermal protectants and mouse to help it stay straight. (Aussie-can be found in Walmart or you can also use Paul Mitchell-professional product and will probably cost a lot when bought from a salon but it's totally worth it) I have naturally curly hair too and mine straightens very well. Good Luck
they work for every kind of hair! but make sure you use a protection serum or buy the braun satinliners. they protect your hair without the hassle of creams. i use them everyday and i have no split ends. they are really effective too as you can change the temperature on the to whatever you like.
A high quality ceramic iron will definitely do the trick! Make sure to condition your hair with a high quality conditioner and or re-constructor to keep your hair healthy. This will avoid more breakage and hopefully help your hair to grow better.

Good Luck
yes

my hair is long, thick and curly

and i use an iron straightner it works pretty good for me, i think will works for you too

i have the remington wet and dry straightner

i just love it, and takes me like 15 minutes to straight my hair in dry
yeah if you do it in sections and take time to do it. also use some flat iron spray to aviod damaging your hair. also you have to do it dry unless you have a wet to straight thing, but those dont work.
yes of course it will make sure

the straighner is high quality

=]
yea lol all straighteners do
yes they do, just be sure to get one that doesn't damage your hair.
