What product would be good for my curly hair?

My hair has very tight spiral curls, and when it dries, it's very big and fluffy. I straighten it for school because it's easier, and i also think it looks better that way, but sometimes i don't feel like taking the time. I want something that will make the curls a little looser and not fluff up so much, but without harsh chemicals. What product would be good for my curly hair?
I understand how you feel with all the time put into your hair. There are ways to make your hair healthier, stronger, and less fluffy.Your hair will be less fluffy/frizzy if it is well moisturized, because natural oils and moisture is lost during the shampooing process. A good conditioner is designed to replenish moisture and oil to hair, and seal the cortex that is opened with shampooing.

I recommend deep conditioning once a month, if you don't already. Since your hair seems to be thick and curly, try Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Replenishing Pak. It comes in the little packets, as well as larger bottles, and you can get it at most beauty supply stores. It's gentle but powerful, and smells like oranges!

As for a regular conditioner, get one that is creamy. Try Matrix Biolage Bodifying Conditioner, or another conditioner from the Matrix Biolage collection. It is extremely lightweight, but definitely strengthens your hair. Here's a link: http://www.haircareusa.com/matrix_biolage_conditioner.htm

If you're going to wear your hair curly, make sure it is well moisturized and conditioned, but not greasy and weighed down. Stay away from most heavy duty gels, because they harden your hair, dry it out, and make it stiff, even though the curls stay fresh.

As for hair styles, I highly recommend roller setting. It makes hair smooth, soft, and you can determine how big you want the curls to be with the size of the rollers. It is also indirect heat, and less damaging to your hair. When you have free time, put your hair in rollers after condioning it. Add a thermal protectant and let it air dry, or sit under a hood. Applying rollers well is a bit difficult at first, and you may need to trim the ends even to make it easier. Heat for the rollers often offers better results, but isn't stressful on your hair.

And for a side note: If your hair is curly, it may be easier to manage if it is longer. There is more weight, and the curl becomes more loose.

How can you grow longer hair? Hair growth is obviously at the root. For most people, the problem isn't having the actual hair growth take place, but keeping the ends from shedding and breaking off. The ends are the oldest and usually the weakest part of your hair, and they will break off as your hair grows, leaving little progress in length. That's why it's good to trim/dust your hair occasionally. Generally, hair grows half an inch a month. You can trim your ends 1/4 - 1/2 an ench every 8 weeks, or two months. This way, you can eliminate split ends from taking over your hair and breaking off your ends. However, you'll see just as little progress if you cut more hair than your hair can grow at a time. I hope this makes sense.

I think Pantene products work well, you can probably get it near by in an A%26amp;P Supermarket or CVS
