I have long, thin curly hair and I often straighten it during the winter. I have a Hot Tools blowdryer right now, but my bangs are coming out damaged looking. It there any blowdryer that you know of that has good straightening power, is fast, and doesn't damage your hair? What kind of blowdryer is best for straightening curly hair?
Well... I'm not sure how much money you're looking to spend but the Chi blow dryer does wonders for my hair. I have long thick wavy hair and I use a paddle brush while drying to make it pin straight. The person above me is right, though, you really should use a heat protectant (though I never do...) When I did use a heat protectant I used sedu.

The Sedu is a bit pricey as those kinds of things go, but I've heard the L'Oreal brand works rather nicely.

You should use a good heat protectant. I recommend this or something like this.

You also should use a good brush. A nice large round brush is good to use for straightening your hair. This is what I recommend.

Always use a heat protectant when you use a heat on your hair. Don't forget to deep condition atleast once a week.
