My hair is very thick and in between wavy and straight. It seems like no matter what products I use the frizz is still there and I can't get it to have nice curls or waves like people who ';scrunch'; there hair. I'm tired of straightening my hair everyday but that is the only thing I can do to it. Any tips? How do you make frizzy/wavy hair curly and unfrizzy without a curling iron?
While your hair is still damp from the shower, gently comb through it with a wide-toothed comb (never a brush!). Slather a water-based gel or anti-frizz product between your palms and fingers. Turn your head upside down and ';scrunch'; your hair from root to tip. Start with just a little bit of gel/product and add more until your strands are coated with it. Let your hair dry naturally or use a diffuser to dry. Not everyone's hair is the same and you will not necessarily get the same look as someone else, but this should at least help to control the frizz. How do you make frizzy/wavy hair curly and unfrizzy without a curling iron?
First try a shapoo and conditioner that help minimize frizz when drying. Keep the conditioner in your hair for 10 minutes up in a shower cap. I recommend also trying dove pro-age thick %26amp; full therapy shampoo and conditioner or ojon ultra hydrating shampoo.
Try mashing a avacado. This may sound odd, but after mashing lather your hair from root to tip and after ten minutes rinse it out. It helps minimize frizz but gives you extra shine.
Try Bio Silk Therapy ( $13 any drugstore) this will help make your hair softer and elimnates frizz (believe me). You should also apply it before straightning, it helps protect your hair against the heat.
Try Lisa's Hair Elixir at Sephora.com. It really makes hair look healthy.
Also try a de-frizz therapy serum. Put a dime size amount in towel dried hair
Start by shampooing and conditioning with a special type of shampoo and conditioner such as Pantene, look in a beauty store for a specialty kind of shampoo and conditioner as well.
After towel drying hair, apply leave in conditioner! Works very well in keeping your hair smooth and well quenched. Blow dry hair, or just let air dry. Next, put in hot rollers for about ten minutes, and then take them out.
and...
Voila! Curls-a-la-Carte!
By the way, scrunching only works if you have curly hair, I have tried dozens of times! ( To answer any further questions. )
My hair is wavy/curly and if I brush it when it's dry, it goes all frizzy and disgusting! I brush it in the shower, so perhaps try this. Don't forget to turn the water off while you're doing it, or do it straight after your shower. Don't want to waste water now do we! :D Hope this is helpful!
try using PPS, D-Fizz, Bed Head, Mop, etc. what I do is i have a shower just before bed and then i lay a clean towel on my pillow and fall asleep and in the morning, the top of my head is all flat and all frizz free!
hope i helped!
Well you can try rollers, not the grandma kind..lol They made new ones. It depends on the curl you want, if you want spiral curls get rod rollers. Hope this helps.
use a good conditioner .. try the john freida frizz ease line of shampoo conditioners and styling products. they have a line just for people like you.
i have the same exact problem and idk what to do either.
