wow you have the perfect kind of curls in my opinion. the best way to cut them is actually totally different to what a hairdresser does. they do all hair the same, getting the hair in between there fingers and cutting straight or nipping in with shapers. but to define curls, let your hair dry naturally without product, so that it will fall as it naturally is inclined to. then curl by curl, cut. Take a curl, and with your scissors choose the amount you want to chop off acording to where split ends stop or wherever you want, then put your scissors on an angle and cut in the flow of the curl. like when you cut rose stems on an angle, but do it so that the spiral is not chopped dead flush vertical, yuck curls hate this. if you do each induvidual curl you can help to form full, well shaped head of curls. i do this and my hair looks better than it ever did. i learned the technique from a book called ';Curly Girl'; not sure who its by, google it or look on amazon its on there and it is a really really helpful read!
also use curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner to create more texture and shine. once a week get a whole lemon or two depending on how much hair you have, squeeze all the juice out into a jar or bottle minus pips, and in the shower put it through your hair concentrating on scalp and ends. let it soak a few mins then rinse thoroughly and condition as usual. its a natural cleanser of product build up and is really good to help dull frizzies.
KMS curl up shampoo and conditioner is good. a cheaper alternative that is just as good is anything that has alot of coconut extracts in it.How do I learn to cut my own curly hair?
Hi,
Great question : {
I've cut my own hair for 2 years and yep it looks great!
Have you heard of Robocut Vacuum Clippers?
I just dial in the length I want and vacuum my head.
No mess, no clippings, yes a foolproof haircut : )
take care all,
Brad

My hair is curly,, and I cut it myself once.
I wouldn`t advise it,,
I had to go to a salon to get it fixed.
It was a mess.
it's onyl liek $10 if you dont get it washed or blowdried
