I use Dove shampoo for dry hair that's supposed to smoothen the cuticles. I use Pantene conditioner and anti-frizz serum too, but they're not specifically for curly hair.
Actually, when I use these products, my hair is quite manageable and not overly frizzy (unless it happens to become very dry)... But is there any difference when you use curly specific hair products and when you use those for general hair types? For curly hair, is it necessary to use hair products specific to curly hair?
No, it's not necessary to use certain hair products, but it's recommended that you do to enhance curls. Other products just smooth down frizz, I believe. For curly hair, is it necessary to use hair products specific to curly hair?
i have curly hair.
i don't think it matters what shampoos or conditioner you use. personally i use tresemme for dry hair shampoo %26amp; conditioner. i've found that serums are good, but you don't want anything that will weigh down your hair or make it look greasy. i use frizz ease dream curls, its soft on my hair and keeps the curls nice. you dont have to use specific products for curls but they'll probably be better for you.
You don't have to use products that are specifically for curly hair. I use organic, cruelty-free shampoo and conditioner, and then I put almond oil or olive oil in my hair as an anti-frizz. It's much cheaper and way effective.
